About Blue Stone Events
Hi! I’m Tara, Owner & Lead Planner of Blue Stone Events. I’ve been designing since I was a young girl. (Imagine the most elegant table settings for casual pizza nights! I set it!) After earning a degree in Communications & Marketing, I amped up the design for celebrations, coordinated weddings and planned large scale events for family, friends and schools.
When I am not planning events, I am spending time with my husband and two daughters. I love a really hot cup of coffee, snuggling up with my girls & high stacks of new books from the library, exploring local parks, trying new foods, summer days on the lake and late night bon fires.
Our Story
Blue Stone Events is named after my Great Aunt Charlotte, who, over 50 years ago wished for a blue stone ring for Christmas. On Christmas morning, she found her wish came true!
Aunt Charlotte’s stories were magical. I’d sit at her feet as she sat in her big rocking chair, soaking up every detail of her stories. When Aunt Charlotte passed, the ring was mailed to me & sewn to my wedding garter as “something blue.” Aunt Charlotte has since been my guardian angel, cheering me on, leaving hearts from heaven. When brainstorming my business name I kept hearing songs with the word “blue” in them, letting me know this was the right choice. To honor Aunt Charlotte, I am proud to call my most exciting and favorite business adventure Blue Stone Events.
